Moving to a new phone/device

On the old Android device/phone

  • Start Engine Driver

  • Use Export function in the preferences: Menu ‣ Preferences ‣ Import/Export/Reset & Log Preferences ‣ Import/Export ‣ Import, Export or Reset

On a PC

  • Connect your old Android device/phone to your PC

  • Copy the files in the Engine Driver folder /Android/data/jmri.enginedriver/files off your old device to the PC

On the new Android device/phone

  • Install Engine Driver

  • Run it once. Then Exit. (This will create the Engine Driver folder)

On a PC

  • Connect your new Android device/phone to your PC

  • Copy the files you saved onto the new device in the Engine Driver folder /Android/data/jmri.enginedriver/files .

  • Disconnect the Android device/phone

Re-start Engine Driver on the New Android device/phone

  • Use the Import function in the preferences: Menu ‣ Preferences ‣ Import/Export/Reset & Log Preferences ‣ Import/Export ‣ Import, Export or Reset

Primary files (in the ‘files’ folder)
exported_preferences.ed
recent_engine_list.txt
recent_consist_list.txt
recent_turnouts_list.txt
function_settings.txt

Other Files:
connections_list.txt
connections_log.txt
